Hey, you! We’re back! First deadline for applications is June 30

Yes, that’s right! We’re back, and we are looking for the baddest, meanest, kick-ass startups out there! In fact, we’re looking for the next billion dollar startup, to take you global.

This new edition (Fall ’14) starts on September 26 and ends on December 19. For 3 months, 30 tech startups (in the fields of: web, mobile, SaaS, gaming, tourism, energy), will be accelerated with daily workshops and mentoring sessions, by 200 internationally renowned professionals, including top level directors from Microsoft, Google , PayPal , Deloitte , SurveyMonkey, EDP Innovation, Outsystems, Critical Software and many others.

We’re seeking ambitious startups in prototype/product stage, with a strong team, looking for product-market fit validation. This 1st phase of the program ends with an Investor Day in Lisbon for all the startups, and with an international roadshow in London, Boston, and São Paulo for the 10 top selected teams. Startups will receive perks worth 140,000€.

The program then moves onto a 2nd phase, which is the investment phase, including an additional 6 months of incubation for the top 5 startups of phase one. Here, startups will receive investment of 40,000€ in exchange for 6-10% equity, plus 30 years of free office space in Lisbon. The finalist of the 2nd phase of the Lisbon Challenge will also receive 100,000€, and a chance to receive a further 100,000€.

So far, the previous two editions of Lisbon Challenge have resulted in:

- 23.5 million euros of investment, including 3 by YCombinator and 2 by Seedcamp;

- 400+ jobs were created;

- 1000 applications received, from over 45 countries.
