Bento Correia is the founder and CEO of Vision-Box, a Portuguese developer and manufacturer of Biometrics, Mechatronics and CCTV solutions. His company’s contribution to technological breakthroughs in these areas has been recognized with the International Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Ernst and Young, and the Internationalization Award by the UK Trade & Investment Agency, Frost&Sullivan 2013 European Vertical Market Penetration Leadership Award, Asian Sesames, among others. 

Having more than forty published scientific articles, his participation in numerous R&D projects was recognized with several awards: Decartes 1st Prize 1991, by the Institute of Computer Science; Innovation 1st Prize 1995 by ANIMEE; Exemplary Performance Presentation Award – Professional Category, by the International Organization SPIE, among others. 

Bento Correia holds a PhD in Computer Vision and a Master degree in Physics.
