John Gale is the President of Taligo LLC in Cupertino (California) and the CEO of Carverlon Lda in Lisbon (Portugal)
John Gale is a senior corporate development and commercialization executive. He has extensive experience with new ventures ranging from startups to new divisions of Fortune 100 companies and the portfolio management of startups. He was promoted during two successful Turn-Arounds.
He has served as an officer in startups such as vice president business development of Magnify.com, now owned by Lexis-Nexis. He has advised numerous startups, such as Photonic Power, now owned by JDS Uniphase.
He was Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of ITII, an M&A unit of International Thomson, now Thomson Reuters. He has advised investors such as an NEC Semiconductor strategic venture capital fund. Activities frequently center on software, Internet, or nanotechnology. Business experience includes the Americas, Asia and Europe.
John holds BSEE and MBA degrees. He was previously a member of the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs and the Silicon Valley Engineering Council. He is currently serving his fifth term as a Director of the IEEE Consultants’ Network of Silicon Valley.
