During this time, the 19 concluded investments efforts he has managed have in aggregate returned capital several times over. He recently created BetaAngels to invest in early-stage ventures, with a more investor and entrepreneur-friendly approach. Prior to BA he launched two other investment vehicles, including Adara in 2002, where he served as Managing Partner until 2010 and remains an important shareholder.
Earlier he worked at McKinsey & Co. and in retailing, as CEO of a 35-store supermarket operation in Central Spain.
Roberto has been a member of YPO/WPO since 1992 and been recognized as a Global Leader for Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum.
He received an MBA degree from Harvard University and a BA in Computer Sciences from Dartmouth College (Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors).
He is a citizen of Panama and Spain, a proud father of 3 and does his best to maintain his golf handicap in the single-digit range.
