45 years old Pedro Reis graduated in Management and Business Administration from
Universidade Católica Portuguesa, supplementing his academic studies at Harvard
Business School (USA) in Strategic Finance (2005), at Insead (France) in AMP-Advanced
Management Program (1995) – and also at Universidade Católica, in “PAGE – Advanced
Management Programme for Executives” (1994-95).
In 1996 he was awarded the prize “Managers of Tomorrow” by JNICT, Egon Zehnder and
the magazine Fortunas & Negócios. Pedro Reis has extensive experience in company
management and business consulting for the past 20 years in various sectors such as
furniture, engineering, advertising and communication.
Pedro Reis was a regular contributor to several media outlets, not only as a columnist, but
also as a resident commentator, including magazine “Fortuna”, the newspaper
“Independente” and the news channel TVI24.
In March 2011 he published the book “Voltar a Crescer” (Back to Growth), a work
prepared at the invitation of the current Prime Minister, Pedro Passos Coelho, outlining a
diagnosis of the Portuguese economy based on a study done with 55 business owners
and Portuguese managers.
By appointment of the Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Pedro Reis chairs the Jury for the Prize "Mais Diplomacia Económica” (More Economic Diplomacy). He is, since 2013 a member of the Board of
Directors of the Institute Francisco Sá Carneiro, a reputed Lisbon-based think tank.
