Excited for the upcoming Lisbon Challenge? So am I! My name is Petko and I am taking care of the social media for Lisbon Challenge. The pages of this blog are your backstage pass for the next few months as we go on organizing one of Europe’s biggest startup accelerators, kicking off in just a month time.
Here, at Beta-i, we see Lisbon Challenge as part of the counteract efforts to the struggling global economy. This is an outstanding opportunity to accelerate top-rate startups into growth with the help of 200+ top-tier mentors and 100+ investors and help create sustainable businesses - a key feature in modern societal progress. The teams will inspire and drive the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in Europe. So needless to say we’re looking forward to the upcoming months.
During the application process we registered more than 400 startups from all over the world competing for a spot on the program. We are now near the end of the selection process and will soon announce the 75 teams entering the Lisbon Challenge. The best performing startups will get to present their businesses to investors in Lisbon, London and São Paulo, and win up to 150,000€ with no strings attached.
One might call all this a life changing opportunity for the participants and the purpose of having the blog is to share the experiences and tell the stories of the people involved in Lisbon Challenge.
